My fibro ups and downs
I am lucky with my fibro because my meds help most of my extreme pain. So while most fibro suffers have a lot of pain all the time with fatigue, I have a lot less pain less often but I have a lot of fatigue. I think my fatigue is multiplied because of my PLMD. Even when I sleep I don't really sleep. During my last sleep study I was awaken 62 times out of the restful sleep level in one night. When I get up in the morning or after a nap I feel the same as before I went to sleep and that still drives me crazy. Sometimes I am so tired I can only lie around.
But.. there is good news about having fibro and PLMD! Guilt free being lazy, I can stay in bed or on the couch all day if needed and not feel bad about it. Fibro fog, that is when I can't think or remember things. Sometimes it is bad like when I am in Court, but other times I can use it to my advantage like if I don't want to do something someone asked me to do and just don't do it. When they come and ask me if I did it or my I did not I can just say "oh sorry, I forgot". Since I have pain, I can use it to have others do things for me like, "can you get that for me" or "can you move that for me". HeHe. Now don't get me wrong, I am not making up my tiredness or pain, it is just good to see some upside.
I do have to rest often, plan a head, have a plan A, B and C. and do my chores only about 10min at a time. I also don't go to or do things I used to because I am too tired. However, I am lucky to have friends and family to help me and that understand my illness.

Handicap plate
I got my new plate and at first I was not sure what I thought about having to get it. When I first put it on and went to park somewhere, I felt funny parking in the handicap spot. I got out and was having to stop myself from subconsciously limping or doing something else to make myself "look handicap". I laughed at myself. It only took one day to get used to it and now I am loving it! I feel I can get so much more done because I know wherever I go I don't have to worry about getting good parking and having to walk a long way.
